Circle Auction is currently collecting consignments for our September 2026 Modern + Contemporary: Art and Design auction. The auction will include a contemporary studio pottery collection with works by Kensuke Yamada, Wesley Harvey, Sunkoo Yuh, Richard Notkin, Jim Leedy, Warren MacKenzie, Chris Gustin, Beth Lo, Ron Meyers, Bede Clarke, Soojin Choi, Peter Voulkos, and others.

We are currently accepting consignments of modern and contemporary art, studio ceramics, sculpture, prints, multiples, and mid-century modern design, including furniture and objects by Herman Miller, Knoll, Dunbar, Charles and Ray Eames, Isamu Noguchi, Hans Wegner, George Nelson, Eero Saarinen, Florence Knoll, Paul McCobb, George Nakashima, Milo Baughman, Finn Juhl, Arne Vodder, and other Scandinavian and postwar designers.

We are also seeking works by local, regional, and national artists including Wilbur Niewald, Roy Lichtenstein, Lisa Grossman, Andy Warhol, Kenneth Ferguson, Warren Rosser, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Robert Sudlow, Stanley Lewis, and other artists working in modern, postwar, and contemporary categories.

Many are personally inscribed to Clarence and Mary Decker, reflecting their documented personal connection with Benton in Kansas City. Highlights include Prayer Meeting, commissioned by Decker in 1949 and recorded in Creekmore Fath’s catalogue raisonné. Fresh to market from long-term family ownership.
