THE VOORHEES COLLECTION:

A major highlight of the sale is a significant group of works from the personal collection of Kansas City artist, printmaker, educator, and collector Jane Voorhees. Assembled over decades through exhibitions, galleries, studios, friendships, and exchanges with fellow artists, the collection reflects Voorhees’ deep involvement in Kansas City’s artistic community while extending to important figures in postwar and contemporary American art. Highlights include works by Dale Chihuly, Jun Kaneko, Tom Corbin, Lisa Grossman, Robert Stackhouse, Ken Ferguson, Julie Blackmon, William Tinker, Akio Takamori, Jane Hammond, John Woodrow Wilson, John Buck, Lauren Mabry, Hung Liu, Lynn Manos, and Stanley Lewis, alongside notable design by George Nelson for Herman Miller, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Knoll, Josef Frank for Thonet, John Noel, and others.
